Pre-school Program

Since only students with learning challenges are accepted by the school, the preschoolers are those with developmental delay. Hence, the pre-school program is also referred to as the Early Intervention Class

This is open to children ages 4-6 whose development are delayed and are recommended by their doctors to be in an early intervention class.

In this program, the delayed skills are directly and aggressively addressed while at the same time pre-elementary skills are taught. Should the child be ready for grade one by the time he/she is 6-7 years old, then appropriate promotion is made.

Because of the nature of the program, there are two teachers who teach the small class.

The following are the areas/skills addressed in this program:

· Gross – Motor Skills and Behaviors

· Fine – Motor Skills and Behaviors

· Self – Help Skills
